After over two decades in business, Ligature has seen a lot of changes. There were about 16 years servicing clients from downtown Portsmouth, where the wind does blow, especially on Penhallow Street, a favorite coffee destination. Now I telecommute to greater Portsmouth and beyond from my home studio in Eliot, Maine.

Previous lifetimes as typographer, commercial print salesman, press operator (both letterpress and offset), and advertising account executive mean that I bring a lot to the table. We spend a lot of time working with electrons now, but it's still good to have someone you can lean on who knows about paper and ink, halftones & duotones, and how light or dark a page should look when it's filled with type.

Not to scorn our new clickable medium. I enjoy the two ways of thinking required -- print is linear, web is three-dimensional.

My work has continued to receive awards, and I take pride in the personal service I provide.
